We have a genuine western red cedar double garage door (with opening 4.8 m wide by 2.1metres high) and feel that it is possible that it was manufactured by your company. (our home was constructed new about 08/2004) The door provides four horizontal panels with four western red cedar lining boards within each panel with each board measuring what appears to be 13 mm thick by 133 mm high. The cedar lining boards are about 4.87 metres long and appear to have ship lap ends. The boards were originally screwed with stainless crews into a black anodized aluminium frame however some boards have loosened over the years and we have had to use an adhesive to glue the loose boards to the anodized frame as the screws began to fall from the timber. We are considering replacing the garage door and would appreciate your views on same. The door spring has recently failed so we are considering refurbishing or replacing the door, tracks and motor but are also interested to know if the boards only can be replaced and existing frame retained. Your views would be appreciated. We can send photographs if it assists.
