ExDF is one of our newest designs and it has replaced our old Ply Panel. This Extreme Density Fibreboard is an European product which can be stained, oiled or painted. The product comes with a 25 years in ground and 50 years above ground structural warranty by its manufacturer. The product is suitable for outdoors and requires low maintenance thereafter.

This material can be used as timber substitute to many of our garage door designs. The benefit to the homeowner is a more stable and durable product not prone to cracking!

There is some confusion in market place regarding the need for edge folding on aluminium composite used on garage doors. Because of its significant increase in popularity we would like to emphasise the following:

Danmar Garage Doors strongly recommends the aluminium composite edges to be folded in order to increase its life span. The issue of not having the edges folded is that RAW aluminium gets exposed to the weather and surroundings making the product prone to electrolyses and oxidisation. Aluminium composite manufacturers do not warrant their product unless all edges are folded. It is imperative and highly recommended for your garage door panels to be washed regularly with water and a mild detergent, do not use anything abrasive or high pressure cleaners.
